Chocolate Buttermilk Cake

1 stick butter

1 cup water

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

1/2 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup cooking oil

2 cups self-rising flour

4 tablespoons cocoa

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pour oil, margarine and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil . Set aside.

Mix flour, sugar and cocoa in a mixing bowl. Add boiled mixture and the rest of the ingredients together. Mix well and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.

Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Icing:

1 box confectioners sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 stick margarine
7 tablespoons canned milk

Mix sugar, cocoa, margarine and milk. Bring to a boil . Remove from heat and pour in confectioners sugar, beating until smooth.

Pour this over hot cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
