Ground Beef Stroganoff

1 pound ground beef

1 5.8 ounce package gravy mix

1/4 cup chopped onion or 1 tablespoon instant minced onion

1/2 cup drained mushroom stems and pieces

3/4 cup water

1/2 cup sour cream

In 1 or 1 1/2 quart casserole, crumble ground beef. Cook, uncovered, 5 minutes, stirring once; drain.

Stir in gravy mix, onion, mushrooms and water. Cook, covered, 7 minutes.

Stir in sour cream and let stand, covered, about 1 minute to heat through. Serve over rice or noodles.

4 servings.
