Chocolate Walnut Bread

Chocolate Walnut Bread

1 egg plus enough water to equal 3/4 C. plus 2 T.

1/2 t. salt

3 T. sugar 

1 T. margarine or butter, softened 

1/2 t. vanilla

2 1/4 C. bread flour

1 T. dry milk

3/4 C. semisweet chocolate chips

1/4 C. walnut halves

1 1/2 t. bread machine or quick active dry yeast

Because you will add the chocolate chips with all the other ingredients they will break up and melt during baking so you will have a chocolate bread, not a chocolate chip bread.

Select sweet or basic/white cycle. Use medium or light crust color. Do not use delay cycles. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on wire rack.

Makes a 1 1/2 pound Loaf.
