Southern Fried Apples
2 lbs. tart apples
sugar to taste
3 T. butter
Wash, core and slice apples into quarters. Do not peel. Place them in a heavy skillet with the butter. Cover and cook over medium heat until soft, about 5 – 10 minutes.
Uncover and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Cook until lightly browned on underside.
