Mama’s Fried Chicken
1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
buttermilk to marinate chicken
salt and pepper
self rising flour to coat chicken
oil for frying
Wash chicken pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper, to taste.
Marinate pieces for 1 hour in buttermilk.
Remove chicken pieces 1 at a time from buttermilk, coat with flour, and deep-fry until golden brown.
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
