Angus Barn’s Chocolate Pie

1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

2 ounces semisweet chocolate

1 cup sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla

Dash salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In the top of a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate together.

Add sugar and mix until blended. Add eggs, vanilla and salt, and blend together. Pour into pie shell and bake 35 minutes. After 20 minutes, cover the edges of the pie shell with foil so it won’t become too brown.

Makes 8 servings.
