One Pot Spaghetti
2 Tbsp. oil
1 onion, minced or 2 garlic cloves minced
1 lb. ground turkey, ground beef or sausage
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
1 1 lb. 10 oz. jar prepared spaghetti sauce
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
salt and pepper
16 ounces dried pasta
Heal oil in large dutch oven. Saute’ onion until tender and add meat. If using garlic, add garlic with meat. Add herbs and brown. Drain meat if necessary.
Add tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce. Fill spaghetti sauce jar with water and add to pot. Season with salt and pepper. Add pasta and stir. Bring to a boil, cover, lower heat and simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring frequently.
After the 1/2 hour, the pasta will be cooked and the sauce will be appropriately thickened.
