Orange-Pecan Bread Mix

3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
1 package dry yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon dried grated orange peel.
In a large bowl, stir together ingredients. Store in an airtight container.
Attach to container:
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk and 1/4 cup
butter or margarine. Stirring occasionally, cook over medium-low heat
until milk mixture reaches 130 degrees. Remove from heat; stir in 1
teaspoon orange extract. Add container of dry ingredients to milk
mixture; stir until a soft dough forms. Turn dough onto a lightly
floured surface and knead about 5 minutes or until dough becomes smooth
and elastic. Place in a large bowl sprayed with cooking spray, turning
once to coate top of dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place (80 to
85 degrees) 1 hour or until doubled in size. Turn dough onto a lightly
floured surface and punch down. Form into a loaf shape and place in a
greased 5 x 9-inch loaf pan. Spray top of dough with cooking spray,
cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from pan. Cool completely on a wire rack. Store in an airtight
container.
