Butterscotch Chip Cookies

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups butter-flavored shortening
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
12-ounce package butterscotch chips
1 cup pecan pieces

Heat oven to 375° F

Mix flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl and set aside. In large bowl, mix shortening, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla well. Mix in eggs.

Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in butterscotch chips and pecans.

Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer to cookie rack to cool.
