Cinnamon Loaf

1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons dried orange peel
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

Beat butter and the 1 cup sugar in large bowl until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until blended. Add sour cream and milk; blend at low speed, mix well. In small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to the butter mixture, beating well. In another small bowl, mix together the 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and orange peel. Set aside 1/4 of this mixture for topping.

Spoon half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over batter. Spoon remaining batter over top. Cut through the batter and cinnamon mixture with spatula to form swirls. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon mixture over top of loaf. Bake for 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted into loaf comes out clean.

Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
