Cape Cod Bog Burgers
1 1/3 pounds ground turkey breast
1 small apple, finely chopped
1 small white onion, chopped
1 rib celery from heart of the stalk, finely chopped
1 rounded teaspoon poultry seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
Vegetable oil (for sprinkling)
4 sandwich size English muffins (sourdough flavor), split
1/2 cup regular or reduced-fat mayonnaise
1 cup prepared whole berry cranberry sauce
8 leaves of bib lettuce
1. In a bowl, combine the turkey, apple, onion, celery, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Form 4 large patties.
2. Set a large skillet or a grill pan on medium high heat. Use the oil to sprinkle the skillet or brush the grill. Cook the patties 5 to 6 minutes on each side.
3. Toast the English muffins. Mix together the cranberry sauce and mayonnaise. Spread the muffins with the mixture and add burgers and lettuce.
