South of the Border Meatballs

1-1/2 lbs ground pork
vegetable oil
1 packet (1.25 oz) Lawry’s Taco Spices & Seasonings
1/4 cup unseasoned dry bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup grated onion
1/4 cup minced green pepper
1-1/2 cups chunky salsa

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except salsa; blend well. Form into 1″ balls.

In a large skillet, brown meatballs on all sides in oil. Remove meatballs and drain oil. Return meatballs to skillet and add salsa.

Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
