Ham and Cheese Florentine

1/2 package frozen puff pastry sheets (1 sheet)
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
2 green onions, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1/2 pound sliced cooked ham
1/2 pound sliced cooked turkey
1 cup spinach leaves
4 ounces sliced Swiss cheese

Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix egg and water. Mix onions, pimiento and oregano.

Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface. Roll into 16- by 12-inch rectangle. With short side facing you, layer ham, turkey, spinach and cheese on bottom half of pastry to within 1 inch of edges. Sprinkle with onion mixture. Starting at short side, roll up like a jellyroll. Place seam-side down on baking sheet. Tuck ends under to seal. Brush with egg mixture. Bake 25 minutes or until golden. Slice and serve warm. Serves six.

Thaw time: 30 minutes. Prep time: 20 minutes. Bake time: 25 minutes.
