Sweet Sour Meat Loaf

1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

1/2 C. brown sugar

1/4 C. vinegar

1 t. mustard

2 lbs. ground beef

1/2 lbs. ground veal

1/2 lbs. ground pork

2 eggs beaten slightly

2 small minced onions

1/2 C. fine bread crumbs

1 1/2 t. salt

1 1/2 t. pepper

Mix tomato sauce, brown sugar and mustard in small bowl or pan until thoroughly mixed. Place remaining ingredients and 1 cup of sauce mixture in large bowl and blend.

Place mixture in a 2-quart loaf dish and pour 1/4 cup of sauce over top.

Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, basting with 1/4 cup sauce after 30 minutes baking time. Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes. Drain excess fat. Place on platter, pour over the remaining sauce that has been heated.

Makes 6 servings.
