Tomato and Onion Pie
9-inch pie shell
2 large or 4 small Vidalia onions
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
Bake pie shell and let cool.
Layer sliced tomatoes and chopped onions and sprinkle each layer with salt and sweet basil.
Spread cheese and mayonnaise, mixed, on top of pie.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes, uncovered.
