Custard Pie Recipe
5 eggs
1 C. sugar
3 T. melted butter
1 C. evaporated milk
1 C. water
1/2 t. vanilla extract
1/4 t. salt
1/2 t. nutmeg
1 9-inch unbaked pastry pie shell
Beat eggs until fluffy. Add sugar and beat well. Add melted butter, evaporated milk, water and vanilla extract. Add salt just before pouring mixture into pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake at 425°F. for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°F. and bake another 15 minutes.
