Valentine’s Day Sugar House
I am so excited to announce I am a new contributor to The NY Melrose Family with Jenny Melrose. My first project for Jenny is a Valentine’s Day Sugar House. Go on over to Jenny’s and see another house I did, the recipes, directions, lots of photos, tips and tricks on how to make one for your family.
These were so much fun to make and because of the sugar dough a little different to decorate. With the sugar cookie dough you need to plan ahead a little more than the traditional gingerbread house to allow the house time to dry. Be careful when you buy your candy, I am kind of a matchy-matchy girl and the range of the pinks in the candies surprised me when I went to decorate. Seeing the faces of young and old alike makes taking the time to make one of these so worth it. Try it, they are easier than you think especially if you use some of the tip and tricks I shared at Jenny’s.
