It was a pretty big fail, made one giant one instead. It tasted great! I went out today and got food coloring meant for baking with. Am going to try them again soon.
That cake looks amazing! If i wanted to bake it in a circle 9×9 pan, would i have to change the ingrdients or baking time? If so how! I’m thinking of making this into a birthday cake!
Hi Debbie, I would think if you baked this in 2 9 inch times the baking time would be more like around 25 minutes. Check at 20 to be sure. If a toothpick comes out clean it is done. It is a very runny batter, don’t think you did something wrong.
This cake sounds amazing! But I wonder how you would alter it using real melted chocolate? I don’t like the flavor coca powder gives to cake or brownies when that’s the only source of chocolate. Any tips?
Hi Mia, I think you would be okay if you subbed some unsweet 1 oz. chocolate squares. I want to say 1 1/2 squares but that doesn’t seem like enough to me so I would start with 2 squares. 1 square plus half of the cocoa sounds like where I would start if you can do half cocoa.
