Vanilla Pound Cake

4 ounces butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs and mix.

In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder and soda. Add alternately to butter mixture with sour cream. Pour batter into sprayed or buttered loaf pan.

Cook for about 1 hour. Done when toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 30 minutes.
