Apple and Oat Bran Cereal
4 cups water
1 1/3 cups oat bran
1/2 cup raisins
1 apple, shredded
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground caraway weeds
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup skim milk
In a 2-quart saucepan, bring the water and oat bran to a vigorous boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until thick.
Remove from heat and stir in the raisins, apples, maple syrup, caraway, and cinnamon.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Spoon into bowls and serve with the milk.
