Amaretto Hazelnut Bread
2 C. bread flour
2/3 C. milk
1/2 C. toasted, chopped hazelnuts
1 egg
2 T. sugar
2 T. butter
4 t. amaretto or hazelnut liqueur
2 ts. active dry
yeast
1/2 t. salt
Glaze:
1/2 C. sifted powdered sugar
1 T. amaretto or hazelnut liqueur
This recipe is for a bread machine. Put all wet ingredients on bottom and dry on top in the machine. If you don’t want to use the liqueur, you can use almond extract or hazelnut coffee creamer as a substitute.
Glaze: Combine powdered sugar and amaretto or hazelnut liqueur. Pour over cooled bread.
