Hot Slaw

1 large cabbage

2 medium onions

4 stalks celery

1 bell pepper

1 fresh hot pepper

crushed red pepper (about 1/2 teaspoon)

1 cup vinegar

1/2 cup sugar

salt and pepper to taste

Grate the cabbage, chop the onions, celery, and bell pepper.

Carefully deseed and chop the hot pepper.

Mix all ingredients together well. Add the vinegar and sugar, salt and pepper.

Mix well and chill before serving.
