Fudge Filled Bars Recipe
2 C. quick cooking oats
1 1/2 C. flour
1 C. brown sugar, packed
3/4 t. salt
1 C. butter or margarine, melted
1 C. chopped pecans
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1 C. chocolate chips
2 T. shortening
1 C. plain M & M’s
In a bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar and salt. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Stir in pecans.
Set aside 1 1/2 cups for topping.
Press remaining crumb mix in a greased 9 x 13 pan.
In a saucepan, combine the milk, chocolate chips and shortening.
Cook and stir over low heat until chips are melted. Spread over crust; sprinkle with the reserved crumb mix, top with M & M’s.
Bake at 350° 20-25 minutes.
