Strawberry Jam Cookies Recipe
These are such a good cookie, buttery and made with a delicious jam that I was sent to try. I have been making this cookie for years, usually I sprinkle confectioner’s sugar over it. With this delicious Strawberry Jam with Grand Marnier Liqueur I decided a little glaze drizzled over them would be better. This jam is made by The Dept. of Sweet Diversions and they make it in small batches and I can tell you it smelled amazing when I opened the jar. The scent of fresh strawberries was incredible. It is also organic. They make a variety of delicious jams to tempt you.
Watch these cookies carefully when baking. You want the cookies to just start to turn brown around the edges. After baking store the cookies in an airtight container if there are any left. You are going to want to savor every bite of this cookie.

Delicious, buttery cookie filled with Strawberry Jam with Grand Marnier Liqueur and drizzle with icing.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup strawberry jam - I used Strawberry Jam with Grand Marnier Liqueur
Instructions
- Beat butter in a large bowl until smooth. Add sugars and continue mixing. Add egg and vanilla. Mix until fully incorporated. Add baking powder, and then flour (slowly, while mixing). Stop mixing as soon as the flour is fully incorporated. Cover dough and chill in the refrigerator about 1 hour.
- Place jam into a small ziplock bag, and cut off one corner of the bag.
- When the dough has chilled, preheat oven to 350*F. Roll small balls of dough and place on a silpat lined, or parchment lined baking sheet. Flatten balls of dough slightly with the palm of your hand. Use your thumb to create a crater in the center of the dough. Fill crater with about 1 teaspoon of lemon curd.
- Bake cookies about 12 minutes, or until cookie edges are just turning golden brown. Remove from oven, cool slightly, then move to a wire cooling rack to cool fully. Dust cookies with powdered sugar or make a glaze and drizzle over the cookies while still warm.
- Recipe yields about 2 dozen cookies
- Glaze
- 1 cup confectionary sugar
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 - 3 tablespoons milk
- Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl. If needed add a little more milk until the frosting drizzles off of a spoon. Drizzle over cookies while still warm.
