Porcupine Meatballs

1/2 C. uncooked long grain rice

1/2 C. water

1/3 C chopped onion

1/2 t. celery salt

1/8 t. pepper

1/8 t. garlic powder

1 lb. ground beef

1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce

1 C. water

2 T. brown sugar

2 t. Worcestershire sauce

Combine first 6 ingredients. Add beef and mix well.

Shape in 1 1/2″ balls. Brown meatballs and drain.

Combine tomato sauce, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce & pour over meat balls. Reduce heat, cover & simmer 1 hour.

Serves 6
