Pork Chops Rice

Italian Pork Chops and Rice

6 pork chops

Salt and Pepper (for browning)

1 1/2 Tbs. oil

1 large onion, sliced

1 large green pepper, sliced

15 oz. can tomatoes

1 cup chicken broth

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. each– oregano and basil

1/4 tsp. each–garlic powder and pepper

1 tsp. sugar

1 cup long grain rice

Season chops and brown. Remove from pan.

Add onion and green pepper; sauté till tender.

Cut tomatoes in chunks and add to pan. Add chicken broth, seasonings and rice. Bring to a boil; reduce heat.

Put chops on top of rice. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

Fluff rice and serve
