This is my mom’s recipe for sour cream cookies and perhaps my favorite cookie ever. It is soft, cakey, full of nuts and topped with browned butter frosting. This recipe can now be found at Recipes Food and Cooking.

You’re welcome, if you like soft, cakey kind of cookies you will love these!
I stopped by because I wanted to learn how to candy pecans. The cookies look yummy too! Thanks for sharing on Sweet and Savoury Sundays!
They are easy to make, just sugar and pecans. They stayed crunchy on top of the cookies also.
Good Afternoon Mary Ellen, I have no idea what Stink Bugs look like, I have never seen them and I don’t think I want to. You poor thing, trying to bake with all those bugs clammering to get in….. and what about Chloe, no wonder she was barking. We had a gorgeous King Charles Spaniel who was part of our family for 14 years and her name was Chloe.
How wonderful that you have a recipe that has been cooked by so many generations of women. I love that, as I have so many recipes which were my grandmother’s. I love pecans and I am going to bake your cookies in the next couple of weeks, as they sound lovely.
Best Wishes to you.
Daphne
Hi Daphne, they look like lady bugs only they bite. If you kill them they stink so here they call them that. It really was a pretty funny afternoon, I have never seen swarms like they did that day. My Chloe is part yorkie and shitzu. She looks like a teddy bear. I hope you enjoy the cookies, they are my favorite. We make them at Christmas only make them smaller and sprinkle green and red sugar on them.
Oh my gosh, these look delicious! I love pecans and candying them just makes them that much better. Can’t wait to try! Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup. I’m sure it’s not intentional, but I am not seeing a link back to the party.
hugs,
Jann
Hi Jann, not intentional. It is up now. I just started doing these parties and am figuring it out. The page is a work in progress, I am trying to catch it up. These are my favorite cookies, I hope you enjoy them!
